Botany and Ecology at Moses Creek Meadows – Members Only Event

Yellow flowers sprout up in a grassy meadow.

July 11 @ 10:00 am 11:30 am

The Moses Creek Meadow is one of the largest sedge meadows remaining intact and still mostly free from weedy invasive species remaining in Wisconsin. The new boardwalk provides a rare opportunity to visit this important ecological community easily and without doing damage to it. Join UW-Stevens Point professor emeritus Dr. Robert Freckmann to explore the plants and communities at Moses Creek Meadows.

Dr. Robert Freckmann is an emeritus professor of biology at UW-Stevens Point. Dr. Freckmann joined the UW-Stevens Point faculty in 1968 where he taught botany for over 30 years.

This program is free and is only open to members of the Friends of Schmeeckle Reserve. Registration is required; please reserve your spot here.

The program will meet at the Yulga Disc Golf Course parking lot (4551 Wojcik Memorial Dr, Stevens Point, WI 54482).
