Nature Explorers Summer Day Camp
Session 1: June 17-27, 2024
Session 2: July 8-18, 2024
Schmeeckle Reserve will be hosting two “Nature Explorers” day camps this summer for children entering 3rd-6th grade. Each camp will run Monday through Thursday from 1-4 p.m. for two weeks which coincide with the Stevens Point Area School District’s summer school schedule. Children will need to be dropped off and picked up at the Schmeeckle Visitor Center at 2419 North Point Drive, Stevens Point.
Our trained naturalists will lead hands-on activities including:
- Child-centered discovery hikes
- Wildlife watching in the Reserve
- Catching frogs and other pond critters
- Canoeing on the lake
- And more!
Each session is limited to 20 children, so register today to reserve a spot!
Program Details
Session one runs June 17, 18, 19, 20, and 24, 25, 26, 27. Session two runs July 8, 9, 10, 11, and 15, 16, 17, 18. You may choose to register your child for one or both sessions. The second session will be a repeat of the first session.
Registration cost per child:
- $150/two-week session (Non-Friends of Schmeeckle members)
- $125/two-week session (Friends of Schmeeckle members)
